Ronika has a BS in Nutritional Science from The University of Texas, is a registered dietitian and is pursuing all of the latest research on optimal taekwondo nutrition.
Her passion for helping people achieve better health led her to the field of dietetics. While still in school, she worked with the Johnson Center for Child Health and Development to create a recipe book for kids with food allergies. She volunteered with organizations like the Texas Department of Agriculture to gain a good understanding of policies surrounding food, for programs like the National School Lunch Program. The common theme was to help children gain access to healthier, more delicious and enjoyable foods. Over the years, she worked to earn her Bachelor’s in Nutritional Science from the University of Texas, followed by 1200 hours of supervised practice in clinical nutrition, community nutrition programs like WIC and food service. She did her specialty rotations in pediatrics, women’s health and sports. She sat for her registration exam to earn her credential as an RD/RDN. She is currently working through all of the latest research and information available on child athlete and taekwondo nutrition so that she can better serve taekwondo athletes through education and one on one nutrition counseling.
